The MH25v2 is not recoil rated, so it's role is purely as either a handheld or helmet mounted thermal observational and detection tool. Compared to the more expensive, recoil-rated Iray RH25v2, the MH25v2 provides similar performance for less cost, making it ideal for those who are only looking for something to mount on their helmet or keep in their field pouch.
