The WANGLE has been available in Europe for just over a year, and is now being adopted by specialized military units overseas. Unfortunately for the U.S. market, all WANGLE production in Europe has been selling before its even completed, leaving no excess production capacity thus far for the U.S. market. When ACT Europe finally was able to send a handful of complete devices to ACT U.S., we wanted to be first to get them because we have been able to field test this system since 2025 and have been convinced of its unique abilities and quality.
Based on the DTNVS-MG platform, the WANGLE adds a selectable 55 degree panning feature through a specially design arm hinge. The WANGLE can go from regular 40 degree to 55 degree within a second, with a mechanical lock out which will keep it locked in either mode no matter the circumstances until the user unlocks the slider and physically pulls the pods into wide-angle or straight-ahead orientation.
The WANGLE keeps all of the features of the regular DTNVS-MG including most importantly manual gain control. It is also built with RPO 4.0 eyepieces and 3.0 objective lenses keeping the device weight just over 18oz.
These units are being custom assembled by us with L3Harris Unfilmed milspec grade white phosphor intensifiers. For a less expensive, but still highly capable configuration, check out the WANGLE with Elbit commspec Gen 3.
