Our preferred helmet illumiation mount, the Thyrm Variarc VS, is a velcro-attach rotational light mounting platform. This utilizes your helmet or helmet cover's built in hook and loop to attach either a picatinny compatible or Surefire Scout style light directly to your helmet. The light can then be rotated in a force to overcome fashion on the Variarc's rotating joint. The Variarc VS allows for secure attachment, especially when combined with the included Microbat Systems Sensitive Item Retention Lanyard which can have its braided cable looped through the lanyard port of the Variarc VS platform and then attached to a secondary loop area.
Available Variations:
- Thyrm Variarc VS - this one attaches to velcro and is our favorite because it takes up no rail space used for other things, and is more easily removable if you want to strip your helmet down
- Thyrm Variarc ARC Rail direct - this one attaches directly into your ARC rail on your Opscore helmet
- Thyrm Variarc Team Wendy direct - this is used on Team Wendy helmet rails
- Thyrm Variarc MLOK - this is used on helmets with MLOK rails
