The AB Night Vision STORM is designed to work with night vision goggles that have a ball-plunger aka ball-detent (ANVIS) interface.  An incredibly strong, lightweight, and feature-rich mount, the STORM will securely mount the ANVIS-6, ANVIS-9, PVS-23 (F5050), GPNVG-18, and PSQ-36 (among others that utilize ball plunger interfaces).  The STORM will fit into any standard bracket style helmet mount and is intended for ground use.

These STORM mounts are angled to properly interface with Ops-Core FAST, Team Wendy, Crye AirFrame, MTEK Flux, or other similar helmets. Another version is available by special order to interface with a steeper slope of ACH/MICH Style helmets (contact sales@apollogearco.com).

The STORM's frame is machined from 7075-T651 Aluminum Alloy, making it lighter and stronger than other mounts made out of 1018 Steel or Delirn Polymer.  The body and frame will not flex under tension or impact.  The design incorporates retention features located above and below the NVG ball-head for security while performing aggressive maneuvers.  Controls are simple and familiar to those who have used ANVIS goggles in the past.  A single button releases the lock mechanism to allow the goggle to flip or down.  Like all ANVIS mounts, the STORM features a cable that connects with a remote ANVIS Battery Pack to provide power to the mount.  The mount then powers the goggle with connectors on either side that meet up with the ball plunger interface on the goggle.  When you flip the goggle up, the contacts are physically separated, automatically turning the goggle off.  When you flip it down, the contacts are physically reintroduced, automatically turning the goggle back on.

The STORM features strict machining tolerances for a secure, repeatable lock-up.  A Jack Screw provides the user with 1.25″ of vertical adjustment for proper eye placement.  It is easily accessed with gloves.  An 8″ 4-pin LEMO style connector cable provides plenty of reach for battery packs mounted on the back of a helmet.
