The newest iteration of the Vyper binocular from Photonis is a huge step forward from the original Vyper, and the Vyper PRO was recently awarded selection under the U.S. Army's BiNOD program - to replace the PVS14 with binocular systems.
The Vyper PRO is based on the Nocturn Industries Raptor housing, but utilizes a AA battery and push-button on/off, in addition to the gain control switch. It is otherwise functionally identical, featuring light weight high strength reinforced polymer construction, IPD stops, manual gain control, and auto pod shutoff. Most importantly, the Vyper PRO features Photonis 4G High Gain white phosphor intensifiers of 2200+ FOM and RPO 4.0/3.0 optics for best weight and performance at its price point.
